  22. Just to add to the recommendations of tools for
  23. reading various file formats and doing batch processing
  24. of frames, ImageFX 2.1 reads a wide variety of
  25. file formats and includes utilities that make batch
  26. processing very easy, with a huge variety of image
  27. processing effects.

  29. One of the utilities, AutoFX, is somewhat FrED-like 
  30. in its use of premade ARexx scripts to batch process 
  31. frames. I find it to be easier to use than ADPro's FrED. 
  32.  
  33. ImageFX also has ARexx macro recording. Making your 
  34. own macros is a fairly simple process. 
  35.  
  36. ImageFX properly supports dynamically allocated 
  37. memory so it doesn't have to grab a big chunk of RAM 
  38. when it starts, like ADPro does. ImageFX also has painting
  39. capabilities, including natural media, and it supports
  40. a wide variety of display cards for interactive previews
  41. including CyberGraphics (which works on cards like the
  42. CyberVision and Spectrum) and the Toaster.

  44. ImageFX also continues to be developed and supported
  45. by Nova Design.
